  • antialiasing- blend filter

    Hi..
i was wondering if (and how) can we have (or enable) 'Blend filter' for antialiasing.
it supposedly gives a 'blurry' effect- which is better than the one produced by 'area filter'. It can save some PS work too..
    cheers!

Unfortunately we don't support that filter type in V-Ray for Sketchup.

      Re: antialiasing- blend filter

      Thanks for your reply
btw..i must say Vray is by far the most 'friendly' sketchup rendering solution i have came across. i had a chance to try kerkythea -which i went upon to test out unbiased progressive-path-tracing which is great; indigo -which too in unbiased, but way too slow compared to kerkythea, lux render -needs development, and not as user friendly as compared to kerkythea. problem with kerkythea is it has not been updated since oct2008, and its developers are busy with thea render (the commercial version).
my personal verdict is- vray is the best, if you want a good and easy to work with, rendering setup for sketchup, with little hassles to deal with
though i still wish vray has progressive path tracing (or BPT, or MLT). and hopefully SU comes up with 64bit platform soon.... (this is my wishlist for vfsu )
otherwise, vray is the best and reliable i have seen..
      cheers to the team asgvis!

        Re: antialiasing- blend filter

The ASGVIS team have put a lot of effort and a lot of work to perfect their latest release.
I don't think there will be a 64bit vfsu unless there will be a 64bit google sketchup.

and yes I agree that vray for sketchup is the best and reliable! ;D
