  • Rendering SU Horizon in Vray

This is probably a really simple answer and something i am just overlooking, But watching the recent video tutorial (V-Ray Sun) i noticed that there was no plane under the blocks yet when it was rendered shadows were cast and displayed on the ground. When i set up a similar scene and come to render and i do not have a plane under the blocks there is no shadows cast on the ground. Is there a box i need to tick or something i am just over looking?

    Like i said really simple....

    Cheers, J

Be sure to open vray toolbar
select "vrayplane" from one of the icons in vray toolbar. ;D (right most icon)

I'm kind of a hurry right now so I can't post a screenshot of it.

I use and infinite plane. When you click on the infinite plane icon you can make a small plane on the viewport and it will cover the scene from horizon to horizon.
