Create one reflection layer, apply a fresnel effect and increase the perpendicular IOR value between 6 to 10 or even more depending of the amount of reflection that you want. Then apply black and white mapping on the perpendicular color to telling V-Ray her you want reflection and where you don't ant it.

i dont understand - do i add the map to the perpendicular M?
i did it and it comes out plain gray

could you please explain with more detail >?

      thanks

Where is the perpendicular IOR in the reflection layer?

Oh. I guess you are using the old version. In the old version the correct name is "Fresnel Color". Click on the "m" near the fresnel color, insede the reflection layer, and place the mapping there to control the reflection. In the new version, we change the name to "Perpendicular" because the option affect the perpendicular area of the geometry from the camera.

Please send me the textures and I'll create the material for you.

                I've tried.
                It works.

Is there any way to recreate that using a noise texture instead of a map ?
Because, the black shade around the puddles is the key to make it realistic but I can't figure out to do it algorithmically...

here is my test so far

                    I am very excited to

1: try and achieve results myself
                    2:use Fpedrogo's

                    This is very cool!

the thing is that i dont have the texture, just the image...

I did a black/white "cloud" filter in PS

here you are, but it is not seamlessly tileable.
