is it better to make a vray material then apply it or not? in max vray material is faster, is this so in sketchup?

In my opinion, this depends on your work flow. One thing I've noticed in sketchup, when apply a vray material to a complex geometry, this would take time to load the material to su geometry.

Everything is V-Ray material when you render in VfSU.
