Win 32 vs 64

Just wondering if anyone has upgraded their system from 32 to 64 and found any improvements?

I'am in the process of doing some testing myself using a variety of PC's & OS's. The PC using xp-32bit seems to be quicker than the one using 7-64bit

I understand that SU is a 32bit programme, but i did read within the forum that 64 uses 4gb of ram compared to the 2gb in 32, is this true?

Does any know also if there has been any issues regarding the latest releases of VRay? Alot of my high quality scenes seem to be crashing, which i am putting down to not enough RAM.

I use 64bit Win7 - and I'm not going back, Even though SU is 32bit, there are so many other applications I use that benefits from it. I also heavily multitask so it's good for the OS to have as much memory available.

I have not noticed any slow downs.

(are you comparing on the same machine? or between different ones?)
