Opening Vray

Hi,
I have downloaded vray and spend hours trying to open it. How do I open it! there is no information out there on how to actually start the program! The install showed up in my applications folder but i have clicked on everything in all the folders and nothing opens up vray. what do i do to start vray?!

VfSU launches along with SketchUp - make sure the extension is marked to load under Window > Preferences > Extensions.

VfSU is not a standalone application.

Under Sketchup - Preferences, there is no option to select vray?
any other suggestions?

are you sure you installed it in the correct path?
open sketchup then "Window > Preferences > Extensions"
look for vray for sketchup and check its box

The current public version is not compatible with SketchUp 8 on Mac, so that's probably the trouble you're having. It works fine with SketchUp 7. Our current beta version works with SketchUp 8, and this compatibility will be added in the next public release.
