anyone know how to adjust the settings for lighting? I want to make it smoother..
im not finish the material yet, just play around with environment and artificial light.
please help..
hi tarovarius...
in this case i would recomend you to watch this little tutorial
http://software.asgvis.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=888&I temid=53&utm_source=Publicaster&utm_medium=email&u tm_campaign=ASGVIS%20News:%20The%20complete%20V-Ray%20rendering%20process&utm_term=See+all+videos+ in+the+%22V-Ray+From+Start+To+Finish%22+series+now!%0d+
you need more illumination in the interior and then you have to increase the light cache multiplier.
do not make emissive materials too big, or you'll have that kind of splotchiness...
also you need to have order, i would recomendo you to work out your illumination before you move to the materials editin stage.
really hope it helps!
see you around!
I would also look at using some higher quality render settings. If this are area lights, etc, then it may just be your settings are too low quality. What are your settings, are you using irradiance map?

Are you using proper light sources, or are you trying to light the room with emissive material? Emissive materials should not be used as main light source.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.
arqestevez1, It helped me a lot. thanks for a good video and advice. hope to see more tutorial video from you
thomthom,yes..I try to iluminated the room with emissive material and I found that will cause the splotchiness :P thanks...
this is the new one
i used the default settings, change the output to 1600x900, disable the physical camera and use the 35mb HDRI (small), adjusting the ilumination by change the value of light cache multiplier and GIcolor multiplier, and also by rotating the environment. then I disable the background.
You could try using some of the lighting - like add an area light for that ceiling fixture. It's very simple to use, and you would get a nice contrast. Right now the illumination from your environment is very even and low contrast.
