  • Orthographic vray physical camera question

    hi,

can anybody please tell me how to change my vray physical camera to orthographic projection to render elevations of my model?

    I tried :

    - Set FOV to 1 with enabled physical camera, but its hard to find and positioning the Model perfectly

    - tried to disable Physical Camera and enable parrallel projections in Sketchup but the colors arent exactly like with the pyhsical camera ... but could be corrected in PS...

this works for me if i'm not in parralel projections mode ... if i'm there i can't find my model : is there someting like "Save Frame" in SU?

So it there a native function in Vray? - if not this would be my number 1 on my wishlist

    thank you

Unfortunately our product has trouble with orthographic projection rendering, because V-Ray is physically accurate. Otho views aren't physically accurate. That's why you have to sort of fudge things a bit.

There was a trick that I think thomthom mentioned a while back to set the camera zoom to something like 4000. You still see slight converging, but much better then without. That's the way I've been doing my plan views.
