  • sketchup crahsed, can I find the image that was rendered in the VFB?

my render finished (10 hours). I clicked to save the render, was trying to create a new folder to save the image into, and sketchup crashed!
I lost all 10 hours of the render.

Is there any temp folder where the image may still be saved? the image that appears on the VFB?
Would it be stored in the temp XML file that is stored? Is there a way I can open the XML?

    Please Help!!!

Hey Kaizer - you need to check the autosave in the output settings and select a filename and folder *before* you start the rendering. Anything you change after the rendering is started will not help you. I have used autosave successfully before - just make sure to change or copy the file that was created so it's not overwritten in the next autosave... Hope that helps, sorry about losing the 10hrs rendering

There is no "autosave" in the output settings, I do have "save file" - but I tested it, supplying a file to save to, and it doesn't do anything... no file is saved during, nor after the render is done.
There is also an option to render a VRimage, would that be it?

"save file" in render output is the one I was thinking of. As long as you have a correct path, there should be a file saved immediately after the render is done. Test it out on a quick rendering to make sure your path works. If there is any permissions issue or anything, it won't save, and won't tell you it's not saving.
