  • Plugins. Essentials.

Every time I'm watching one of these tutorials that you guys are kindly sharing with us I'm noticing unusual tools and icons in toolbars. So I was hoping that some of you could do a little tour through your plugins with some comments about how to use, where to find them and maybe some examples of your work which you couldn't have done without these plugins.

Have a look at the Plugin List at SketchUcation: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=250026

In the threads you'll usually find users posting examples of what they made with it - or the author posted examples of what can be done.
There are so many different plugins and there is no one that fits all. It all depends on your own usage, what you model and how you model.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

I agree, it's so many of them that it would be extremely hard to go over best ones. But my goal was to find out which one of these plugins are popular within the vray community.

In addition to what thomthom said - There's been several threads on sketchucation devoted to people's favorite/ most useful plugins. Since the plugins cover such a range of actions, it really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. There are a set of plugins I use for modeling, another set for Vray (lots of tools thomthom has developed - big thanks!) and still another set for creating animations, and so on. You need to think about what you are trying to accomplish, and then start digging through the sketchucation forum for ones to fit your needs. Basically, I'm saying your question is more a sketchup related question and there are already many resources related to that on the sketchucation forum.

In our case here in ASGVIS, we have a lot of plugin installed, but just to be sure that they don't have conflict with V-Ray.
