Which parameter for "Soft" spot light?

What's the paramater to adjust so the arc of light (with the spotlight tool) is soft? Actually it's very crisp... thank you

Change the penumbra angle. Larger value produce smooth shadow. Start with .5, if you need smoother shadow increase the value.

I've also used large radius values too - like 10.0, in combination with the penumbra angle.
