I have this dilemna. I am working on a project in the office where I'm using VRay for SketchUp, but I also want to be able to work on it from home. We're at the point now where the model is almost completely done and I'm constantly tweaking it per my client's requests.
The problem is, when I bring the model home to work on my laptop (which isn't connected to the office server) VRay links all of my textures to a VfSU TextureCache folder on my C: drive. And when I bring the model back to work, it doesn't relink the textures back to the images on the server where they originally were. Instead it creates that VfSU Texture Cache folder on the C: drive at work.
I was hoping that if I "package" the SketchUp model and all of the textures and maps into a single folder, then I could transfer that folder from my work computer to my home computer without having to manually relink everything (kind of like how AutoCAD and InDesign files work). But this method didn't work either.
Is there a way I can transport the SketchUp file and all of its textures without having to relink each individual material?
(PS: I understand the convenience of having VRay extract all of the materials to the VfSU TextureCache, but since that folder is on the computer's C: drive, that means no one else on the server can access and edit those textures if needed unless they're using my computer.)
