  • Basic rendering issue

I am taking myself through the steps of the tutorials given ot us by VRAY because I am trying to do some architectural renderings both interior and exterior.

    Problem:
When I render the scene with the chairs, the environment has a blue wash, no matter how often I change the environment colours...

Any thoughts. Any any tips on what best to do for general lighting and settings for interiors?

    Thanks.

I'm not to sure about the problem you are having but there is a webinar happening this week you should check out in relation to your query on lighting for interiors. They are very helpful.

Under Indirect Illumination - Post Process - Saturation - turn this value down to reduce the bluish color of the environment. You'll see the bluish color as the rendering calculates, but when it runs the final render pass, it will take it out. A setting of .1 will take all the blue out.

not sure the handbags on offer will help...

i there could be 2 possiblitilies to consider.... on a side note if you have [M] for both GI and Background, altering the colours will do nothing.

Anyway point 1 - if you have very reflective materials assigned and just a couple of objects with a vray sky, then the objects will take on a bluish tint as they only have the blue sky to reflect.

2 - Look at the time in the SU sun settings, depending on the time then the colour or tone of the lighting will vary. Early morning tends to have a blueish tint, midday is fairly white, and afternoon times tend to have a yellow-ish tint to it

          hope this helps

lol DIDITZZZ, clearly i need to improve on my sarcasim in posts!

I have thought of another way to curb the bluish tint, if you go into the sun parameters and adjust the OZONE value. Values nearer to 0.0 give a more yellowish light and values closer to 1.0 give a more blue quality.

              Kind regards

For the blue tint: Adjust the White Balance under Camera
