everytime i import 3ds models to sketchup and attemp a render, vray gives me an error, it says to check the error log and vray shuts down, anyone know how to fix this.. or as any links to good 3d components in the 3d warehouse..

Have you tried thomthom's cleanup plugin?
Component comparison is also helpful to replace lots of duplicate definitions.
I've had problems with complex 3ds models too. Besides the cleanup tool, I would also try to un-nest components as much as possible. Sometimes the geometry can overlap and odd things happen when components are nested very deeply. (If that sounds unfamiliar - basically, explode components until you only have to double-click only one or two times to get to the faces and edges of the object.)
