I'm planning on installing Lion (on a seperate partition ) next week. I need to check out Vectorworks but also Sketchup and V-Ray. I'll post the results in this thread.

OSX 10.7.2 (Lion) VR 1.49.01 and DRspawner problem

Yes, but we are having problems with Distributed Rendering. VR 1.49.01 locally works just fine.

Our setup is: iMac 3.4Ghz Quad-Core i7, 16Gb RAM, OSX 10.7.2 (Lion), Sketchup 8 Pro, Vray for Sketchup 1.49.01.

We followed the instructions on how to run the DR script to initiate DRSpawner and it gives us the following errors:

Successfully initialized spawner. Waiting for jobs...

And, if we send a job, only the local machine has threads rendering. We don't know how to get the console with the text output (like the one we get in our Vray for Rhino installation), so we don't know what error is being reported. Curiously, once we send a job, not only does it renders locally, but the DRspawner in our render box crashes. Tried twice and keeps happening, so it must not be a coincidence.

Is it a compatibility problem? (Lion vs. 1.49.01?)

Hi, so I have had mixed results, sometimes it works, sometimes not. I cannot find the problem. Sure hope the next version will have a much more stable DR.
