What? Setting up a license server for floating licenses isn't supported? Why not?
Every time the server requires a reboot I need to manually start the license server - and that cause problems at the office as I'm one of the few with access to the server.

This is the closest thing we have to supporting what you're asking for. We have had many requests to have the license server run as a service, but we have not added support for that feature thus far. I honestly don't know if/when we will add support for it either. I use a floating license server here at the office, it's a machine that we just don't turn off very often. If the machine you currently use, is a main server for your network, and often gets shut down, I would suggest switching to a different machine that shuts down less frequently if possible.

The batch command method will suffice.
It's our IT manager that installs updates from time to time over the night when everyone is out of office that cause the reboots. Not the machine.
