  • Photoshop or rendering of grassy waterside?

    Hi,

I'm a novice VFSU user and currently on a search for a good tutorial on making AI's like this one.

I'm guessing a lot of the plants / grass / trees are done in photoshop. But how? And what preparation would you need in Su / Vray?
Particulary the sloping grass and how it meets the water is someting I'd like to master.

I've been experimenting with displacement grass, but that just kills rendertimes and doesnt give me the results I need.

    Can anyone give me hints/links/advice?

    Thanks in advance.

      Hello rvdkruk

I think this link will help http://architectural-rendering.andyorban.com/?p=127 at the moment its the quickest and easiest way to add realistic grass.

In my opinion your best bet would be to take a photograph of a waterside embankment and use that rather than trying to model how the grass meets the water.
