Depth of Field VRay 1.49.01

Hello,

I have been trying to learn how to use Depth of Field effects with VRay v1.49.01 and SketchUp 8.

I've tried to do some research, but i seem to get conflicting info from different sources (including the manual), for different versions, which makes it seems like i'm just stabbing in the dark.

So i just have a few questions...

What are the units for 'Override Focal Distance'?

What are the units for 'F-Stop', are they like a real camera? If not what are they?

Why is 'Aperture size' box greyed out?

Some definitive answers would be good, but any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Corey,

units for vfsu is in inches.

f-stop is analogous to a real camera - the lower the f-stop - the shallower the DOF

from what I recall, aperture setting is an override when physical camera is turned off.
