  • old wood?

    hello together

can someone help me, how do I create such a material in vrayforsketchup?
on the internet I can not find seamless old wood texture.

I tried it with a wooden texture and in the bump with the noise and wood shader to get the cracks.

if I have to sculpt the cracks I get infinite polygons.

please help me, thank you very much!

here is one place you could browse for textures: http://www.archivetextures.net/

I'm sure if you do a search on this site or Sketchucation there are many more resources others have mentioned.

Definitely I would go with a good texture map rather than trying to model old wood.

CG Textures have an amazing library of textures, many of which are seamless. With free membership you can download several medium res images per day.

        thank you for your reply.

but it is possible to pull the noise shader in the length?
in VRAYforC4D it is possible to change the relative size! :-/

You just need to adjust the texture in Sketchup. What you see in SU in terms of UV mapping will be what you get in the render.

so it's only when I load a bump map texture.
So without texture, with only the noise shader, it is not possible?
I understand now the right way?
