So I wanted to make a script so that I could run ply2vrmesh within OS X. There's an ply2vrmesh.bin which you can run in Terminal, but you have to set parameters and .obj path.
After some experimenting (and googling) I created an OS X app that lets you choose an .obj file and converts it to an .vrmesh (I used the parameters that were in a tutorial somewhere).
I will post it here so anyone can try it. Make sure you have the vray tools installed in the Applications/ASGVIS/Tools/snowleopard_x86 folder.
When you have chosen your .obj file there isn't a status window, it just runs in the background and will save the .vrmesh in the same folder as the .obj.
I hope this works for others as well.
PS. As I'm a complete Applescript noob please don't ask for difficult extra options
Maybe the developers can create something a bit more advanced....
