  • sorry..me again

Hello. I'm having problems getting really nice results for interior scenes using VRAY. Does anybody have a model with the lighting set they could send me so that I can compare the settings ? Was looking for one on the 3D library but didn't seem to have any there. Many thanks

    Hello,
You should have no trouble achieving good results by simply using the render quality presets and manually adjusting the Camera basic parameters.
Illustrations of what you are dissatisfied with could help you receive more specific suggestions.

    Kind regards,

Thanks for the reply Peter, here's an image, it just seems very flat. It's a bit tough as the map is a lightbox so getting the white walls white while the brightness of the lightbox is still a good contrast with the walls was relally tricky.

Some of us have been using this software for over 10 years and we are still working at achieving the best image possible. There is no quick solution or answer to cover all scenes. The process will take time and practice. There are a lot of tutorials on the web, YouTube, etc etc. Just Google it.

After rendering try experimenting with the correction controls (button is at the bottom-left corner of the VFB window), more specifically, Exposure highlight burn and Levels. Then use the "Save Current Channel" button to write the edited result as an image file.

          Kind regards,
