  • Low Priority Thread toggle ... where is it in V-Ray for SketchUp 3.4 (or equivalent)

Not sure if this has been asked yet (not seeing it mentioned in forum).

Prior to V-Ray 3.0 ... there was a Low Thread Priority checkbox you can enable in the render setting ... so that V-Ray gives up processing to other programs when its pushed off to the background.

Is there an equivalent toggle available within V-Ray for SketchUp 3.4? Finding that without this feature ... entire computer slows down when performing a render (unable to multi-task). This goes for both CPU and GPU rendering.

    Thanks!

Low Thread Priority is enabled by default in V-Ray 3.4. The toggle is no longer available in the interface. If you are rendering on GPU and using it for your display as well, you can expect some slowdown. Using old .vropt / .visopt file might also cause some trouble.
If you have performance issue even when rendering new scenes, please send an email at support@chaosgroup.com with further info, including your comptuer specs.

    Kind regards,
    Peter
