  • SketchUP carashes everytime with cpu render

    HI,
everytime, but e-verytime I use cpu render in version 3.6 (sketchup 18, windows 7)
    Sketchup crashes....
    with Interactive and progressive.

    what to do?

I would also like to know-
    1. if it would have worked, is cpu render always better if I have a strong graphic card?
    2. In what scenario I would want to shut down both Interactive and Progressive?

    thanks!

There's been issues in 2018 with V-Ray 3.6 - not sure if others are reporting it as well. I was was getting bugsplats upon just starting SU - had to uninstall it and retreat VRay to 2017

Read this and see if it helps

Yes, we are preparing a fix for the most common issues of v3.60.01.

Regarding your problem, what you are illustrating in your screenshot is that you are using both your CPU and GPU as CUDA Devices (see https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...dtheCUDAEngine for more info).
Could you please send an email at support@chaosgroup.com with the following info and a link to this forum thread?

        1. What is your GPU driver version?
        2. Does the issue occur when only C++/CPU or the GTX 750 is selected?
        3. At what stage of the render process does the crash occur? As soon as you click the render button or towards the end?
        4. What devices are displayed as chosen when you open the Device Select tool (Extensions > V-Ray > Tools > GPU Device Selection https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...ToolsSubmenu)?
Only your NVidia GPU and "C++/CPU" are valid choices. Make sure everything else is deselected.

My colleagues will follow up to provide you with further assistance as soon as they receive your email.

        Kind regards,
        Peter
