  • Add background after rendering and then save

    Hello
If you render a image with Vray you can easy add a background image afterwords instead of the sky Vray make under the rendering but if you save you don't get this with the image. Here I have saved the image both as jpg and png. I know that I can add it afterwards with photo shop or Gimp but if the function to add background already exist, why not save it with the picture? The reson I don't want to add the picture as sky in the rendering settings is that it destroy the reflection in the water. Any way to save the picture with background or maybe possible in a future update of Vray? As I are making a gif with a lot of pictures it would be great if it can saved automatically with "VFB History".

Hello, and apologies for the late response,

The current VFB Background option is for display purposes only and does not affect the image when saved to disk. I know this current limitation does not make much sense. This has been already logged and will be fixed in a future update.
On a side note, you can use the Environment Overrides in order to use one texture/color for Background but another texture/color for the reflections it produces.

    Kind regards,
    Peter
