Can't assign materials from the library

Hello,
I'm new user of V-Ray for Sketchup 3.60.02. (Windows 7).
I'm using the tutorial file Materials_01_Start.skp. I can assign materials that I create, but can't assign materials from the library to the surfaces. I wonder what's wrong. Should I reinstall?

Hello, and apologies for such a late response!
If you haven't already, please send an email addressed at support@chaosgroup.com describing step-by-step how you try to assign materials. Do you happen to be right-clicking on preset materials in the library and choosing "Apply to Selection" or you first add them to the Material List before applying them on objects?

I have same issue. Nothing works except glass material from library and materials I create. Step by step> open asset editor> click on material folder in category> select material from content panel> right click on add to scene or drag into material list, (neither method solves the issue)> Select object in sketchup then return to asset editor> right click on apply to selection. I have also tried various other methods such as selecting objects before and after I add the material to the material list. For what it is worth, when I click on the material and add it to the scene, nothing is added to sketchup's materials panel except glass material from the asset editor material library. Any ideas?

Edit: I spoke too soon about nothing other than glass working. I tried various other materials and some of them will work, but it appears that I am having issues with anything that is a layered material.
