  • Turn Cap CPU Utilization on and off while rendering

When using Swarm, I would like to be able to turn on and off Cap CPU Utilization while the rendering is running a job (if possible). Sometimes you just need your machine for a little bit and plan on leaving for the day or lunch or whatever and want to turn off the cap feature.

    Hello, Matthew,
I'm afraid this is not achievable while the render process is ongoing. If the "Cap CPU Utilization" toggle was not grayed out during rendering, using it would restart the render process, making the whole idea pointless.

    Kind regards,

Is it something that Swarm manages instead of inside the asset editor. Just tell swarm when to cap and not cap?

I use the "Set Affinity" feature in the Windows Task Manager. You can free up threads on reassign them on the fly.

Seems that you have a dig a little bit more in Win10 to set this, but I thought I would share.
