  • Import SKP as VRSCENE

I would like to be able to import SKP files as components that are treated like VRSCENE files. Takes one step out of the process of importing hi-poly SKP files for scenes.

Do you mean you don't want to see the full geometry in the viewport but still render it?

The way I see it, you click the import Proxy or V-Ray Scene icon on the toolbar, and you are given .SKP as a file type option. VRay imports the SketchUp file as a proxy automatically. This would be useful when you have a massive SketchUp file, like a very detailed piece of furniture and you want it to import it as a proxy file without the hassle of opening it independently and making the vrscene file.

        Thanks for the clarification.
This makes sense and can be done in a reasonably elegant way.
I'll log it as a feature request.

        Regards,
        Konstantin
