  • Separate defaults for the two rendering modes (interactive vs production)

I did try searching for this but couldn't find anything.
Would it be possible to implement 2 discrete sets of settings for each of the rendering options?

To save a lot of time continually changing settings between production and interactive settings it would be nice to set "defaults/or session parameters" for a production render and then a different set of "defaults/ sessionparameters" for an interactive render, which is to say when doing an interactive render, clicking on that interactive button would: a. use a lower resolution (set by user), b. use the progressive render option and any other settings etc the user chooses. Then when clicking a full production render it would use what has been set for that by the user: a. higher resolution output. b. uncheck the progressive option etc.
Currently going backwards and forwards between these modes currently requires a lot of settings adjustments that might otherwise be easily automated.

    Thanks

    Hi liam_hardie,

    Thank you for the suggestion.
We've done something similar with the Denoiser in V-Ray 7.
The resolution is something we could also address - giving you a percentage slider for interactive rendering for example.
The Progressive toggle doesn't affect Interactive at all. Even if you production render using buckets, IPR will still work in progressive mode.
