I think this is a MUST have . Does Vray for Rhino 1.5 have something like this?

No, V-Ray for rhino do not have this option either. I think this is a very good feature and we have it on our whishlist already. Meanwhie this is what I do to pack my scene files in SU and Rhino. V-Ray for Sketchup and V-Ray for Rhino look three folder down from the folder where the SU file is located, to try to find and link the textures. If we place all of our textures in one of those folder, V-Ray will automatically link all the textures. As you know SU packed the diffuse textures with the SU file. So, I manually pack all the other textures (bumpmap, displacement, specular, environment, etc.) to one of those three folder.
I know this is not the easy way, but it could help with the missing textures for now. I hope we can include the scene pack feature soon.

Yes, I agree with you. This is very tedious. We really want to include that option.

Seems to me it can be implemented pretty easily by making a variation of the pack feature under DR Spawner. I bet you could even use this as a workaround to collect your assets.

From what I understand, the DR Spawner will take all of the assets for a file and copy them to a network location for the slaves to use when rendering. All Chaos needs to do is make a copy of this feature and have it save all the assets to a local folder. Seems pretty darn simple to me, but I may be wrong.

If you use DR Spawner now, just use it to copy the assets to a folder and then you can copy them along with the SU file and pack that into a zip. It's a workaround. I think.

Our bug reporting tool can gather everything and send it off to us. It seems to have an issue currently with sending files larger than 10-15mb at the moment though. So the functionality to locate all assets exists, all that's missing is zipping them up or putting them in a folder, and a button that allows you to do it without transmitting it all to our bug tracker.
                      Best regards,

Seems like all the pieces are there to have a Pack N Go feature.

Hows the beta? Please tell us its coming before the Apocalypse on Dec 21.

Yeah, sorry about the delay with getting a beta out there. I'm starting work on proxies today, which was something we wanted to have in there before beta started.
