  • Slate material editor like in 3ds max

    I would like to see the slate material editor (as seen in 3ds max)
    It seems much more intuitive than the material editor for sketchup and
    the fact that you can edit the bitmap (levels, contrast, saturation etc) inside vray without having to leave the program to open photoshop is just mindblowing!... almost

    That is very good suggestion but I don't think that Vray as Render Engine should be developed in that direction.
    Usually we do not write very-advanced node-based material editors like Slate Editor in Max , HyperShade Editor in Maya or Material Manager in XSI - all those editors are already built in the 3D platform and we just use them as a foundation.
    Changing Bitmap parameters like Levels , Contrast , Saturation is possible even now with ColorCorrection texture.
