  • Reflections within reflections - ie trace depth in unreal

    I am just playing around with the demo and I am trying to convert an events room, which is a room full of mirrors that reflect video walls.

    I don't feel like I am getting a decent mirror surface - but not only that, I want the mirrors to reflect other mirrors - is this possible?

    Yes, this is possible using the Trace depth setting in the V-Ray Settings tab. There you can specify the number of bounces for the reflections and refractions. Currently it is capped to 5 for performance reasons but that will be fixed in next builds.
