Ive got a client who wishes to create a VR "experience" based on scenes developed in Max/Vray for animation. They are very stylised (no lights, lots of self illuminated geometry with falloff maps, and a screen-mapped gradient colouring the elements, PLUS vraytoon for edge outlines)
this would obviously require some custom shader work in Unreal, since it seems most of these features wont translate via vray.
I have never used Unreal or done any VR, so would be interested to hear from anyone who might be up to the job of taking max scenes, modifying them to work in a vr setup based on storyboard from client (they were all set up with animation shots in mind, so whats behind the cam wasnt considered) , getting them into Unreal, matching the look of the films using Unreal shaders, and spitting out a VR product...
please PM me if interested..
mods: please move if this isnt appropriate here..
