Hello when is Vray 6 for Unreal 5 inkl. Live link to Vantage?

Hello Mr Pock,

V-Ray 6 for UE5 is something that is currently being worked on but cannot say when it will be available.
You can currently establish a Live link connection between UE and Vantage:

• enable Distributed rendering from V-Ray Settings tab
• disable 'Use Local Host'
• add a Render Server with localhost:20701 properties(https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1ERMh...yqIZ9EnMYf0kTW)
• start interactive rendering from the V-Ray icon in the top toolbar

There are the following restrictions:

• native Unreal materials will be rendered as pink, you have to use VRayMtls
• in the viewport you have to look through a V-RayPhysicalCamera (https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1nPix...MyQGYKJiLuLp9Q)

V-Ray 6 for Unreal should be available by the end of the year if nothing unforeseen happens.

This states that the specified IP address and port are not accessible/available. Are the Live link settings in Vantage set to use port 20701? (you can check in Vantage>Live Link menu>Listening on port: XXXXX)

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the issue. All is working on my end. Can you please share a sample scene or a video of the steps you are making?

Now everything works thank you! But when is the live link to Vantage coming from Unreal 5. No one works with unreal 4 anymore!

We plan to release V-Ray 6 for Unreal 5 by the end of the year if everything goes according to plan.

With the end of the year Vray for Unreal is supposed to come.
Will there also be a Material Exchanger?
Is there an interface to Vantage?
Is there a roadmap?
I would like to know more details about the future update.
Learn because of my personal software planning must extend my subscription.
For me the question is whether I should stay with Cinema
Or switch to Unreal.
The possibilities in Unreal are unlimited!!!

Hello Mr Pock,

As you may have already noticed, V-Ray for Unreal is not getting regular updates and no major features are added, just support for UE versions. This will most likely continue in the future. Maybe there will be some work around done for Vantage but cannot guarantee 100%. No roadmap for now apart for adding support for UE 5 and updating to V-Ray 6. We will try to release V-Ray for Unreal by the end of the year. Hope this information helps you plan ahead accordingly.

Unfortunately V-Ray 6 for UE will not be available this year. We will try to release it in the first half of the next year. If they are any further changes/delays we will let you know.
