I was just stupid enough to set random option for material ID while running GPU... caused immédiate crash.

Seriosly, is there a way to exclude the GPU option form the interface?

I don't think it's an unsupported feature so excluding it would be counter productive.
maybe you could send the scene to support so that it doesn't happen again?
