  • Using the same GPU that powers the display to render?

Ok so lets say I have two RTX 2070s and I want to render an animation... I have had issues in the past where if I did use the select both cards for render, Windows UI would lag.. which makes sense. The card that is being used to power 4k monitor is also being pushed to its max by VRay. Is there any way to split the work of the card so that VRay will never utilize the full power of the card.. leaving some for other computer tasks?

Low GPU thread priority should help with that!

In Max, under preferences there is a check box for Low GPU thread priority
In Maya it is in the IPR tab under options
