  • AutoFocus

I was playing with FStorm and it has cool autofocus in its frame buffer. I mean, pick something in your scene and it'll focus on it. It might be a dumb question, but why doesn't V-Ray have this? Corona something like it, but not in the FB. Just wondering.

We have this in Vray for Modo since 2016 or so
And you can also change Camera shutter speed directly in the VFB, same for defocus amount.

Would love to see this in other Vray plugins

You can right click in the FB and get other options to select focus and zoom/navigate etc. I actually only noticed it the other day
No shutter stuff but still good.

No right-click function for me. Where are you seeing this?

I see... I am bucket rendering. I'll try with RT.

I have this with NEXT in IPR window. Probably doesn't work with actual render though that is expected I guess.
So is the MODO thing and other renderers during and after the render has completed?

                  fixeighted
nope, it is only for IPR in Vray for Modo
Same with Vray for Maya, I'm not sure how this would be usable without RT honestly
Redshift 3 just implemented similar options for the IPR as well

                    Yeah just checked.
Maybe it IS possible after the fact but hasn't been implemented. Phone cameras are able to do this as an effect so maybe this is something we'll see sometime in the
