  • Diffuse Map Does Not Render When Opacity Map is used

Title pretty much says it all. Using Max 2020 V-Ray Next Gpu renderer. Using Standard VRayMtl.

It should work fine. Could you attach the scene so we can take a look?

It seems to work as expected on my end. Try relinking the diffuse texture.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Ok. So re-linked the diffuse and it still renders black. Copied the diffuse map locally and relinked it and it renders correctly. Renders fine on cpu rendering. So there's an issue with the gpu renderer locating this specific diffuse map on our server? The diffuse and opacity are in the same folder on the server. This doesn't make any sense.

Thanks for the feedback. There is a known bug, wherein certain conditions textures/folders with a dollar sign '$' in the file/folder name are not rendered in V-Ray GPU. Looking at the provided scene, it seems that this may very well be the case, judging by the folder name (Share$) containing the map files. Could you try renaming the folder and see if that resolves the issue?
