Dear Vlado, I'm ready to test Lavina! lol. Seriously, any updates? Sat in on the recent Chaos/NVIDIA webinar and very excited. Signed up for the updates but haven't received any info....yet!

I'll be curious once the beta is released to see if the loading process into the Lavina player will be the same as was shown in the NVIDIA webinar some months back, or if there's a more streamlined 'live link' solution? The process I saw required an export of your file into a .vrscene file, and that was loaded into the Lavina player. While the export/load process seemed very fast, it would be better to have a 'live link' button in which you can make tweaks in your Max/Vray scene then click 'update' or something. I understand that, as of now, this can't be an instantaneous 'realtime' process like Enscape - due to the vastly more complex amount of data manipulation (such as moving, animated objects) that will be possible with Lavina.

So you would start an interactive Lavina session, the vrscene will be transferred over TCP/IP over to Lavina (no file on disk) and changes will be automatically applied until you end the interactive session.
This will also be the first step to potentially bringing Lavina directly inside the DCC.
However, it's not clear how we should handle the case when you modify an object/light in Lavina and then the same object/light in 3ds Max.
A two way connection, i.e. Lavina modifying the 3dsMax scene, will be very difficult to implement, as that's something we don't currently have implemented for any DCC.

V-Ray GPU has all features needed for production rendering. If we try the same with Lavina, it will slow it down dramatically and we want to keep it real-time as possible. If it was that easy, it would have already been done
