  • Turn GPUs On or Off on the Fly

    Hi

When I'm rendering an animation using Back Burner, is it possible to turn GPUs on or off? The idea is that I can turn off the GPU used for display and leave the rest rendering - then turn it back on when needed.

    Thanks,
    N

We have a tool called vray_gpu_device_select that comes bundled with the V-Ray installation. You can use per-machine to select which devices can be used to render. Would that work for you?

      Hi Alexander

That would be great. I've had a look for the "vray_gpu_device_select" on my computer but can't find it.

It is in the same folder as your vray executable. For example if you are running Windows and 3dsMax 2020 it is located in
        C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\3ds Max 2020\bin
