Corona Materials

Wasn't a NEXT feature the ability to use Corona and V-Ray materials interchangeably? I purchase models with Corona materials and often, I can't convert the materials to V-Ray. Some models are complicated and it takes me hours to re-texture everything, which is when I remember the NEXT feature.

Don't you have UMC? I've seldom had problems with it.

I do, but sometimes I still get errors.

Regardless, agree with you that it would be great if they could interchange materials.

I do believe it was a NEXT perk that I don't think ever got implemented.

they started with basic support with Next, but never seems to finish it .
I personally prefer to convert it to Vray even if it was supported just to feel that my scene is Clean of Corona =D
the converter seems to have issues when the scene have CoronaMix with Complex setup then Vray Comptex can't replicate that.
Also invisible Corona lights will be converted to VRay light,but with Cast shadow off .
I think I will have to collect all these issue in one scene and send it to the support .

When NEXT was announced, I was playing around with Corona and contemplating migrating, but with VRay as a safety net. The thought of working in Corona and abandoning things if needed and jumping back into V-Ray or visa-versa was the idea, and NEXT kind of supported that with the material interoperability.
