  • TITAN RTX vs. Quadro RTX 8000 (24GB vs. 48GB)

    Hi guys !

I just planning to buy a new Graphic card(s) and use as a GPU render-machine.

I came across with the Idea to buy 1 Quadro RTX 8000 or the equivalent of it.
I guess and I saw as in the video linked below that 1 Quadro RTX 8000 should equal performance as 2 TITAN RTX, correct ?

This Video Card Costs Over $5000

Do you have any experiences TESTING both cards as a render-machines ?
Since vRay for MaYa use the RTX engine/technology "I assume only" that both cars should work exactly the same.

    Will you confirm that ?

Does 1 TITAN will perform or render also as good ?
Of course not as 2 TITAN, but 1 TITAN will be enough to render fast ? Or render to slow and doesnt make any sense ? Any experiences on this topic ?

I will appreciate any advice or comment about this topic.

    Thnx in advance !
    CHEERS !

    Hey!

that 1 Quadro RTX 8000 should equal performance as 2 TITAN RTX
1 RTX Titan = 1 Quadro 800 in performance, like what I explained in the other thread

Do you have any experiences TESTING both cards as a render-machines ?
Yup, I have both of them here.. Using Vray GPU and other GPU engines
They work nicely with RTX in Vray, I can confirm that, and probably more optimized than any other engine right now

Of course not as 2 TITAN, but 1 TITAN will be enough to render fast ?
I recommend having a separate card for monitors/windows .. this will be helpful
Could be like a 2060 Super or something cheap for this task. Having one single card, windows and other apps will use some VRAM/performance.. the viewport might be slower during rendering or IPR
you avoid this completely by having a separate card, and you connect all your monitors to it. In this case the Titan will only be used for GPU rendering

Other than that, you should be fine.

      Hi Muhammed,

Thank you for all the valuable information you wrote here.

Yes, I use always a separated GPU card only for Renderings or even though I use the 2 processors I have.
I had made a lot of Renderings, but not so heavy as Im planning to do now.

I really appreciate the information about the TITAN vs. RTX 8000
I will need to try also for my self 2 TITANs to see how they response.

I know Quadros very well, but Quadros are getting too expensive and just only for renders.
I need to see how the RTX react with heavy simulations.

      Much appreciate your comments !

      Cheers !
