  • Terrible Colorful Noise in Rendering results

Hi, when i using Vray GPU5 default present, some strange colorful noise will appear, then i found that when Vray sun light go through a box which is not receive and cast shadows, the noise will appear. But if i switch back to Vray 5 CPU mode, even i did not change any other set up in the scene, the noise will disappear.

Is some of my set up go wrong? I using Vray 5.00.05, Core I7 10700k, RTX 3090 and 64G RAM

Also, VrayDomeLight will cause the same problem in some case when i still use Vray5 GPU.

Is the noise present in a saved image? Check if you have 'Force color clamping' (in the VFB2, View>Color clamping) disabled.

It's definitely disable, i have lots of overexposure area in the image, i will show you the different between Force color clamping able and disable.

Something interested me is that color value of the pixel in noise are less than 0. But it shows red or blue color.

Actually, I had goose bumps when i saw these noise LOL.

Can you attach the scene here or send it to support@chaosgroup.com so we can investigate? If writing an e-mail, mention this thread along with your host platform version.

What do you have the texture depth set to for GPU in the target settings?

Do any of your textures have an alpha that is not within 0-1.0?

I think i did not, all i have do is making a box which don't receive and cast shadows, if i delete it, everything seems OK.
