  • Render very high resolution images using VRay GPU

I need to render images in high resolution (14000x10000 pixels). I have RTX 2080 Ti (2 numbers with NVLink) installed in my system. But my system does not seem to handle this resolution.

Please help me optimize the render settings so that I can get an out size 14000x10000 pixels.

    Hi basafath21

Dealing with massive resolutions, you need a lot of RAM. Are you getting any errors ?
V-Ray GPU should be able to handle this resolution, if the scene fits into GPU memory, and as long as you have enough system memory for the rendering process and frame buffer

Set V-Ray GPU to Bucket mode
Try using .15 noise threshold and samples limit of 3000
    Light Cache subdivs of 2000
If you get any errors let me know, if this is about GPU memory we can try more things

It is difficult to know what exactly filling up the Vram without knowing the details about the scene. What is max res that you are able to render with? Perhaps you could try to export the scene to .vrscene format and render it through V-Ray standalone without frame buffer which in your case can take a good chunk of VRAM. Make sure you haven't got any additional instances of your 3D software open as it can easily it your memory.

basafath21 Are you using an extra card for system display use? If not, than the VRAM could be not enough if other software block to much. Best you close all other software or restart with a fresh started machine. An extra card could help.
