Why is Vray GPU changing my resolution to half all the time?

Hi
Why is Vray GPU changing my resolution to 50% all the time and how to prevent it from doing so?
I set 2048x1080 -bam vrayGPU renders at 1024. I set 4096 it renders at 2048. Whats going on? I'm on latest nightly build.
*edit I have a strange feeling that it has something to do with the "test resolution" button. I probably hit it sometimes by accident. Maybe should be marked RED when or or sth...
