  • vray ies light need to be visible

    Hi All,

Im having an issue with a IES vraylight. I need to make it visible to apply a lens effect. Unfortunately, like non ies vraylight, i can't find any option.

Is there a possiblity to get the IES light visible?

    thank you

Hi, thanks for posting. Do you mean like for instance a sphere light that will render as a bright circle that will make a strong glare? You can't make the IES light visible. Combine it with another light source to achieve the glare effect.

Hello Vladimir, thank you very for your quick answer. So basically, one light for the IES information and one light (like a point one or materialight) just for the glare?

Hi, you need bright pixels for the glare. You can do that with a separate light or you can use the model itself with a light material. You can apply light material to the reflector or model the lighting element itself (the bulb) and use that for glare.
