  • Irr map + lightcache

    Hello,

i usually render with irr map and lightcache.
I think that RT renders with bruteforce, so there is quite some difference between the rendering and the RT window.

Is there a way to optimize that ?

Is there a way to autmatically set the activeshade vray RT process to "LOW" priority ?

For DR, do you need to install max+vray on the slave machines ? or just Vray RT ?

    THanks !

For interior scenes, there might be differences because of the limited GI bounces of the RT compared to the light cache. This difference can be reduced by increasing the GI bounces of the RT renderer.

The rendering threads already runs at low priority.

There is no specific need to install 3ds Max, although you might need to install the Visual Studio runtime (available from http://msdn.microsoft.com)

    Best regards,

      Thanks for the reply Vlado!

Extra question : would it be possible to develop a vrayRT, but that isn't as "physically correct" as the one now, but that renders faster ? (real time irrmap ? interpolated glossy reflections etc.. ?)
