  • xml or similar file for settings?

Is there a file that holds settings like the ip addresses of your render slaves? If so, is there a way to link a name, or at least show the computer name, with those so we can more easily tell which one is which? I've got 4 people here, and I'm about to enter all those in for each machine. Not too bad, but it would be nice if there was a way to do it once, then just share that one file.

This may need to go in the wishlist, but I thought I'd ask if something exists before going and asking for things. I couldn't find anything though. Most everything I tried checking out wasn't plain text when you open it in notepad++

The file is in the same place as the one for the regular V-Ray DR (somewhere in the "documents and settings" folder on XP, "users" on Vista), it is called "vrayrt_dr.cfg"

    Best regards,

OK, found it. Thanks. I was trying to find the DR render, but couldn't because i hadn't used it. We stopped using it since we couldn't get them to render with any maps for some reason.

I was hoping we'd be able to do something like "server name, ip address, description" or something like that. The reason, for us at least, is because our computers are now named with a common prefix, and the rest of the name is just the service tag. They nearly all end in 81, so it is pretty difficult to read. IP address only is annoying because it sorts them numerically, but also does that odd because it does it first to last digit, so 50 comes after 100 even though the numbers are 0-255, not 000-255.

If you know of a way to do something like that where I can have more than just the IP addresses, please let me know.
