I ran into a problem on a last minute project, but Luckily found a solution. I couldn't get maps working on network machines unless they resided on that particular machine (ie, max default textures worked, but not my shared ones).
I was using the service. It worked fine, but no maps. If I use the V-Ray RT render server which pops up a handy little cmd window to show you errors it works fine. I just like the service better because I don't have to worry if the computer restart having RT not work.
Any ideas why that might be? Once we did that it was working like a champ. I didn't notice much of any benefit after about 5-6 machines though....which was fine because we only have 14 extras and 2 of us needed to use it this weekend. That left 2 machines to actually submit the final renders to.
