  • RT - and BIG scenes

    Hy there,

    does anybody know how VRay-RT reacts with really huge polygon scenes, like 10.000.000 polygons? is it still working in "real time" or is it going to be slow like a fast rendering?

    An important factor is how complicated the lighting is. It will move faster on scenes illuminated by one light source like the VRay Sun/Sky and slower on scenes with multiple light sources (like a regular rendering).

      Like Robert said, the lighting (and material) complexity affect rendering speed more than the actual number of triangles. Also, it might take a while to upload the scene to the render slaves.
