Access individual GPUs for distrubuted rendering

Hello,
I'm assembling a system with 8 GPUs for various testing purposes. I understand that RT for GPUs supports distributed rendering across multiple machines on the network. Would it be possible for multiple users to access individual GPUs within a single system?

We have just announced our 8X GTX 580 systems which can be rack mounted in 4U space. It would be nice to use this as a GPU server where 8 artists could access each of the 8 GPUs within a single system for viewport rendering. So instead of seeing the available machines for DR one would see the available GPUs.

Hm, not right now, but I can try to look for a work-around.

That would be great Vlado. I think it would be a popular feature and an easy way for a studio to supplement GPUs in their production workstations. Or if a studio chooses to go with a PCOIP workstations, everything could be in a single rack. Easy to manage.

Curiously what MOBO do u use for 8x gpu ?
